This website is dedicated to Seibel-Murphys, a unique clan that includes not just Seibels & Murphys, but many many more cousins and connections than can be named here.
Histories are fluid and at times rife with surprises as we often rely on oral history to fill in gaps. Alice Seibel Murphy, my mom and Maurice Murphy, my dad, were the sources for most history. Besides the stories, I will also add the images and "paper" that defined their lives as well - diaries and tax returns, ticket stubs and calendars.
The challenge I throw out to the viewer is to help record the histories of all of our families so that we end up with a rich history of everyday folk and not just the rich, famous, infamous/grifters!
